Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for launching the modern science of child eyewitness memories as well as using children who have been abused to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous grants, and has received several international and national awards. She has provided policy and research consultations to numerous agencies and government departments from all over the world. She serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of several professional associations, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She was President of the America Psychological Association's divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
